Several weeks ago, images the S90 scale model spread like wild fire in the Volvo community. Today, Volvo released the first official images of the all-new S90. The S90 will makes its debut in January at the 2016 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) or simply the 2016 Detroit Auto Show.
The S90 replaces the well-aged S80 and it will be the first sedan on the Scalable Product Architecture platform. The award-winning XC90 has set the bar high for the S90 but it has also made it clear that Volvo is ready to take on the competition and raise the bar. We expect the S90 to be similarly disruptive in its sedan segment. Powered by the XC90’s 2.0L T6 and T8 powertrains the S90 should deliver spirited performance with exquisite luxury. The Detroit Auto show will deliver another exciting reveal for Volvo enthusiasts.
